The organisers of a unique media training programme have moved
their sessions to a larger venue to cater for increased demand from
local business owners.
The next session of the Be Your Own PR Person coaching
programme, run by Staffordshire PR agency Richard Swancott
Associates, will be held in the lecture theatre at the 100-seater
Sutherland Institute in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The move from Lymedale Business Centre is to provide enough
space for the 30 delegates currently on the programme, and for
demand from business owners eager to hear the thoughts of speaker
Sam Metcalf.
Sam is the deputy editor of Midlands Business Insider, the
region's largest business magazine, with a circulation of more than
12000 and a readership of 70000.
Richard Swancott, creator of the programme, and owner of Richard
Swancott Associates, said: "The programme has had a very
encouraging response in its first 12 months and we are looking to
expand it into new areas next year.
"In the meantime though we need to cater for our current
delegates, and the Lymedale Business Centre is not big enough on
this occasion.
"Plus we are anticipating an increase in enquiries from people
who'd like to know more about Midlands Business Insider."
The two-hour session takes place on November 22nd 2010, between
12 and 2. Places cost £60 + VAT.
The programme consists of 12 sessions, each covering a different
aspect of PR. These include organising local media coverage, using
social networking sites, and putting together events on a limited
budget.
A grant of up to £1000 is available from Business Link
West Midlands for business owners who would like to take part in
the programme. The deadline for applications for this funding is
December 31st 2010.
