Shropshire events production experts have helped to stage one of
the UK's most unique festivals.
The team from stagecraftuk, in Telford, installed the main music
stage at this year's Freeze Festival which was held at Battersea
Power Station.
The festival attracts snowboard, ski and music fans from all
over the UK, and welcomes the world's very best skiers and
snowboarders who compete on a specially erected 32m high, 100m long
real snow ramp.
As well as the snow competitions, musical acts perform in a
marquee on the site over the three days and this year's line-up
included Mark Ronson, and Krafty Kuts & MC Dynamite.
A team of 10 from stagecraftuk was brought in to handle the
all-important staging, and as well as installing over 330sq m of
main stage, they also installed five drum risers for the artists'
drum kits.
Gerald Salt, for the Telford company, said: "The whole set-up
took our team a day to build and a day to break down after the
event, and the job was an excellent opportunity for us to showcase
our capabilities at an extremely high profile event."
The stagecraftuk staff worked alongside VME Limited to stage the
event - one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and
suppliers of all aspects of sound, lighting, AV and broadcast
equipment.
Production Manager Andy Pierce said: "We were extremely
impressed with the skills of the stagecraftuk team, and their
expertise was invaluable in helping us to make sure that the event
went smoothly."
The stagecraftuk team has a wealth of experience in the live
events industry and offer set design and installation, production
and event management, dry and production equipment hire, and
electrical services.
