Telford-based managed services specialist e-know.net has announced that it has secured its biggest deal of the year to date, signing up outsourcing service provider ESOS Limited on a five year contract.

This represents an effective extension of an original three-year term, with e-know.net continuing to deliver its Managed Desktop to the ESOS customer base. This consists of a number of leading recruitment agencies, including Pertemps and Network Group Holdings, and covers some 1000 users across 200 separate sites. e-know.net also provides a range of consulting services to ESOS directly.

Commenting on e-know.net's reappointment, ESOS chairman John Smith said: 'This was not a simple rubber-stamp renewal - e-know.net had to earn this contract. We went to market so that we could compare offerings and prices, with e-know.net emerging clear winners. Highly competitive pricing coupled with the operational strength afforded by their new multi-million pound data centre, plus their recent award of ISO27001 accreditation, were key 'ticks in the box' for us.

Add in our existing confidence in a strategic partner who has always demonstrated a proactive and professional approach, and the decision was made. Our own development roadmap moves up a gear as of now, and e-know.net will be closely involved in helping us secure greater efficiencies, increased cost-savings and a reduced carbon footprint through a move to virtual servers over the next two years."

Nigel Redwood, e-know.net's managing director, is delighted by the win. "We've enjoyed an excellent working relationship with ESOS over the past three years but we fully expected to be 'market tested'. It's particularly gratifying to be reappointed in those circumstances  - when you've been put up against the leading names in the managed services arena and to emerge as still the best fit for the your client.

There is plenty of hard work ahead of us but the seven figure investment we have made over the past 18 months in both our infrastructure and our operating standards is already proving a perfect platform for successful client retention and acquisition."
