Growing public relations agency Shooting Star PR has been chosen
to handle all PR and publicity for the new Doubletree by Hilton
hotel being built on Lincoln's waterfront.
The Lincoln-based agency is working with developers Brayford
Hotels to implement a 12-month campaign in the run-up to the
official opening of the prestigious hotel and beyond.
Hilton Worldwide announced in the summer that a four-star
Doubletree by Hilton hotel is to open on Brayford Wharf North.
TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing star Gethin Jones dug the
first spadeful of earth in June and construction work is
progressing well.
The hotel will provide 115 new beds and will feature a rooftop
ballroom with views of Lincoln Cathedral that can accommodate up to
250 guests for dinner.
Richard Farrar of Brayford Hotels says he is pleased to have
secured the services of Shooting Star PR.
"We are delighted that Shooting Star PR will be working closely
with us over the coming months to help us communicate the important
messages about the hotel," he said.
"The enthusiasm and professionalism of the team so far has been
first class, and their approach strongly reflects our values and
how we are planning to operate the hotel.
"The build programme is progressing well, so now we've got to
start telling people more about the product!"
Shooting Star PR Director Kate Strawson said: "Hilton is a
fantastic brand and we're thrilled to have won the PR account for
the new Lincoln development. The city is really taking off now and
the arrival of Hilton in Lincoln is a massive boost for everyone
involved in the tourism sector."
Shooting Star PR is an innovative East Midlands PR consultancy
based in Lincoln. Since it was first set up in September 2006 it
has more than doubled in size and has worked for a wide range of
