Staff at Masterlease's offices in Birmingham had the perfect
excuse to look ghastly this Halloween, by leaving their usual
office attire at home and dressing up in costume to raise money for
a good cause, as part of their ongoing community support
programme.
Nearly 200 staff got into the Halloween spirit by donning
vampire fangs, witches hats and masks and managed to raise hundreds
of pounds for Breast Cancer.
As part of their Halloween themed activities, staff from
Masterlease also helped to decorate the renal unit at Birmingham
Children's hospital, transforming it into a ghoulish paradise for
the patients.
Breast Cancer is just one of a number of charities and
programmes supported by Masterlease in the region. Others include
Marie Curie, Children in Need and UK4U, a Christmas appeal which
donates boxes of presents to the armed forces.
Adrian Baldwin, marketing manager at Masterlease, said:
"The day spent in Halloween costume was great fun for all
involved. All of the volunteers who helped decorate the Children's
Hospital worked incredibly hard and everyone was thrilled to be
bringing some fun to the patients' time in hospital.
"We are delighted with the amount of money we have raised for a
good cause and we'd like to thank everyone who has showed their
support, helping to make a difference to the lives of people who
will benefit from the donations."
In the last 18 months, Masterlease employees have raised over
£11,500 for local charities.
