An award winning Lichfield photographer has embarked on the next
stage of her ambitious career with the opening of her own
photographic studios.
Vivienne Bailey has just opened Arc Studios in the city's Market
Street.
An official ribbon cutting opening ceremony was held last Friday
(Nov 12).
Councillor Brian Bacon, deputy mayor for Lichfield City Council,
was given the honour of cutting the ribbon and declaring the
studios officially open for business.
The event was attended by civic dignitaries, local business
bosses and members of the media.
Donna Wilcox, from Elite Academy and Claire Bennett from the
Beauty Education Company were also at the opening. Both will be
working alongside Vivienne in her new venture.
Councillor Bacon said: "It is fantastic to see a local woman who
has grown up in Lichfield do really well in her chosen career and
set up her own photographic studios. I know she will do really well
and I wish Vivienne and Arc Studios all the best for the future."
Vivienne, who has a BA (Hons) degree in photography, will be
assisted by talented young photographer Alex Smith.
Vivienne, aged 35, has been working in the media as a
photographer for over 10 years working on newspaper titles
throughout the West Midlands including the Birmingham Post and
Express and Star.
During this time she picked up numerous awards including the
Banks's Midlands Press Photographer Of The year and the prestigious
Bolt Award.
She also has works as a PR photographer providing pictures for
some of the major businesses and organisations across the West
Midlands to put in brochures, prospectuses and on websites.
But Vivienne has always had a burning ambition to open her own
studios and she is delighted that her vision has now been
realised.
She said: "Photography has always been my passion and I have
always wanted to open my own studios. It is just fantastic to see
that dream now realised. It was a really great event and I would
like to thank all the people who supported me on the night."
People who want to have a special moment in time captured
forever can now make an appointment at Arc Studios.
She added: "I want to capture people's real personality when I
take photographs so I want them to be at ease in front of the
camera and just act naturally. This is when their true personality
shines through and I think it makes for more memorable, treasured
photographs. I am a real people person and I am looking forward to
meeting my clients and helping to make their special moments ones
to treasure forever."
