The Cannock based corporate department of Midlands law firm Ansons Solicitors is celebrating after successfully advising on the sale of three significant companies also based in Cannock.  

Corporate partner Jas Singh commented: "As specialist company lawyers we complete 30 to 40 company sales or purchases every year.  However, because our clients are based right across the Midlands and further afield it is unusual for us to be involved with three very local company sales simultaneously."

Corporate partner Hilary D'Cruz was the lead advisor in the sale of Hi-Spec Precision Toolmakers Limited who design and manufacture plastic injection mouldings and precision custom tooling.

The deal is expected to strengthen Hi-Spec Precision Toolmakers' market position with the new owners planning to expand the business and already creating opportunities for the current workforce and new jobs in the locality. 

Jas Singh acted on the sale of Hednesford based professional engineering recruitment specialist AST Recruitment Limited, and AST Resourcing Limited an engineering design consultancy. 

Both companies were acquired by the Coventry based Envisage Group which has ambitious plans to harness the talents of the existing management teams to help expand the combined group's business opportunities, across the Midlands.

Hilary D'Cruz noted: "It has been a tough time for owner managed businesses of late, but there are signs of economic optimism locally and I am encouraged by these recent transactions which relate to both manufacturing and service sectors."
