A flourishing event management company is expecting to take on
four more staff and bring in orders worth £1m over the next
year after moving into larger premises.
D&B Ent UK have moved to a new site in Fenton, from their
former Longton HQ, and invested in a mobile catering outlet.
They have also refurbished a conference room to provide space
for theatre workshops and drama groups. It is also set to become
the home of street dance classes for Stoke-on-Trent City Council's
Uth Service.
Bosses now want to double turnover, and diversify into other
areas, and will be adding to their six-strong workforce in
2011.
Director Darren Mood said: "We have ambitious plans for the
business and our old home didn't give us the capacity to achieve
them.
"Our move will allow us to develop other elements of the
business, including selling a wide range of CCTV equipment to the
trade.
"To do this we will need to bring in at least four more
employees, and will embark on a recruitment drive in the new
year."
Working in partnership with Stoke-on-Trent City Council, they
are getting involved with a number of Christmas Light Switch-On
celebrations. They are also involved in other switch-ons around the
country.
Mainly, the company - formerly known as D&B Entech -
supplies PA equipment, stages, barriers, lighting, sound and
security for community events, but they also tour the country with
bands and musicians.
In the past year they have worked with Tinie Tempah, The Four
Tops, Jason Donovan and some X Factor contestants, including last
year's runner-up Olly Murs.
