Aldermore Invoice Finance, part of Aldermore, the new British
bank, has strengthened its team in the Midlands with the
appointment of Anthony Melvin as regional sales manager. Anthony
will spearhead the expansion of Aldermore Invoice Finance in the
East Midlands and service the funding needs of SMEs across the
region.
Anthony joins Aldermore Invoice Finance following three years at
Barclays Corporate in Leicester, advising on lending transactions,
and four years in the asset finance and leasing market at GE
Finance as national sales manager. His role at Aldermore will be to
take the range of factoring and invoice finance services to a large
number of businesses operating in hubs such as Derby, Nottingham
and Leicester, and across each of the counties.
Anthony said: "It is great to be on board with the Aldermore
Invoice Finance team. As a result of tighter lending by the high
street banks, more and more companies are turning to alternative
methods of funding, such as invoice finance and factoring services.
Aldermore is in a great position to support businesses across the
East Midlands, and I will be looking to help as many as possible
with our broad product offering."
Tony Smedley, regional managing director for Aldermore Invoice
Finance in the Midlands, said: "We are delighted with this
appointment. Anthony brings extensive experience of lending
transactions and the asset finance markets, and is no stranger to
the East Midlands. His appointment will allow us to better serve
the interests of SMEs based in the important business centres of
Leicester, Nottingham and Derby, as well as increasing the coverage
of Aldermore across the Midlands region as a whole."
