Pupils at a Birmingham primary school have been learning all
about building houses and looking after the environment with the
help of staff from Mansell who are working on a nearby sheltered
homes project.
The Stourbridge-based Western region of Mansell organised a
design-a-poster competition for pupils at Woodhouse Primary School
in Quinton. The school is near Ridgacre Road where Mansell is
building the £8.3 million William Lench Court sheltered
housing project for Lench's Trust.
The youngsters were asked to paint a poster with an
environmental theme under the title "Wonderful World." The
paintings were judged by Mansell project manager Gavin Ward and
community liaison officer Tracey Astbury. Winners were presented
with gift tokens donated by Mansell. First prize went to 11
year-old Meghana Vaidya and second prize went to Elizabeth Thorpe,
also aged 11.
