An accountant at the East of England accountants Moore Thompson is celebrating after gaining the third highest marks in the world in the last stage of her professional exams.

Hannah Neve, 23, is an audit and accountants senior at the firm's Spalding office, having joined the firm three years ago, and has been completing her professional training with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).

She sat her final exams in June, along with some 6,500 other students from across the globe, and was delighted to find herself in the top three out of everyone who took part.

She is going to be presented with a bronze medal, certificate of merit, and prize money of £300 by her local ACCA branch at a date to be arranged.

The partners at Moore Thompson also rewarded Hannah by presenting her with a Monte Blanc pen by way of congratulation.

Moore Thompson managing partner Mark Hildred said: "At Moore Thompson, we aim to support our colleagues through their professional qualifications so we are always very pleased when they are successful, but Hannah deserves particular praise for her exceptional results.

"She is a valued member of the team here at Moore Thompson and I'm sure she has a bright future ahead of her in the profession."
