A premier UK tractor dealership has opened in Hinckley at a
prime location at the Trinity Group site on Coventry Road.
One of the UK's largest John Deere dealerships, Farol, has moved
in to new 18,800 sq ft premises on a 15 year lease.
The dealership will sell a full range of tractors and parts,
homeowner products including lawn mowers, chainsaws, quad bikes and
merchandise as well as a full service department and a tyre
business.
The new arrival will sit alongside Trinity Motors and Trinity
Marina. Trinity Motors are official Mazda and Hyundai dealerships
for Leicestershire and Warwickshire as well as fully authorised
Ford and Land Rover Aftersales franchises providing servicing,
warranty as well as retail car parts.
Trinity Marina is a 114 berth fully serviced marina, which
offers moorings, boat sales and chandlery.
Farol group marketing manager Guy Champion said the decision to
move the existing site from Atherstone was prompted by the great
location, which offered far more space than the previous site.
"The dealership is in a perfect location, close to the A5 and
the motorway networks, with a retail environment which is very
different from the usual agricultural site," he said.
"And the additional floor space will allow us to showcase the
full range of products, which are aimed at home users as well as
agricultural customers.
"Plus there are natural synergies between our customers
and the other businesses on the site which can only be of benefit
to all the firms involved."
Sharon Woodward, Trinity director, which owns the 16 acre site,
said the Farol dealership was a perfect fit for the location.
"The combination of the businesses at Trinity creates a real
visitor destination, where you can buy a car, boat, tractor or
lawnmower, followed by a walk by the canal, a meal at the pub and
an overnight stop at the hotel," she said.
"And as Farol and Trinity are both family run operations,
there is a shared business ethos which makes us ideal
partners for now and the future."
Farol was established in 1976 and now employs 120 people. It has
five branches in Thame, Oxfordshire, Byfield, Northamptonshire,
Midhurst, West Sussex, and Hungerford, Berkshire as well as
the new site.
The company also runs an international low loader and crane
lorry transport business.
Trinity has been based at the Coventry Road site for almost 30
years and has a team of over 100 people working across the marina
and motor dealership.
