Tomorrow sees the closing day for what has been a successful
'new media' experiment for a newly extended Telford Hotel.
The Hadley Park House Hotel and Restaurant has recently launched
a 'Twitter' campaign to help its regular diners keep in touch with
regular events and offers, and has put up a three course meal for
two at their forthcoming 'Faulty Towers Dinner' this Thursday held
in their restaurant, worth £40 per person. Additional dates
are being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.
Proprietor of Hadley Park Hotel, Mark Lewis comments "This is
all new to me, but we have had alot of customers ask whether we are
on Twitter, so we sought advice from our marketing support team at
Bridgnorth based Leisure Marketing LTD, who specialise in this sort
of thing, and who have been great on advising us how to set up our
account, and what to do, and more importantly what not to do - It
was a steep learning curve, but I thought that if I could manage a
£500,000 extension to the hotel, then I could manage a
twitter account!"
James Day, Director of Leisure Marketing LTD added "Social media
has grown rapidly within our industry, which is very suited to
'social media' due to the fun aspect of eating out. Even in the
past twelve months, we have expanded our team to keep up with
demand for advise, and application of Twitter and Facebook within
our industry, and it is amazing what results can be achieved
through clever use of such media - The Hadley Park competition has
been really successful for Mark, and with only 24 hours to go
before it closes, it could be our most successful ever."
