businesses across the county following the formation of a Training
Academy.
Linder Myers Solicitors, based in Shrewsbury, deal with a range
of services including clinical and medical negligence, commercial
litigation, commercial property, employment, family, personal
injury, trusts and estate planning and residential
conveyancing.
Another service, currently in high demand, is the Linder Myers
Academy, the training arm of the firm where businesses can be
trained to deal with a range of issues, with the aim of reducing
the need to seek legal advice on a regular basis.
Joanne White, a solicitor with Linder Myers, recently undertook
an employment law training session for Caradoc Medical Services
Buying Consortium, which represents a large number of GP practices
across the UK, at the Greenhous Meadow Stadium in Shrewsbury.
The second day of its kind saw more than 20 suppliers supporting
the event and the number of practice managers and delegates
attending, some from as far afield as Devon, was well over 100 per
cent up on the inaugural event in 2009.
Caradoc's manager, Peter Masters, said: "The venue and
facilities at Shrewsbury Town Football Club were excellent and the
format of the day really seemed to work well.
"The presentations and workshops in the morning, by Joanne White
of Linder Myers, on employment law were well received by the
practice managers and this was followed by the suppliers
exhibition."
Gaynor Maclennan, a practice manager from Montgomery described
the employment law session as "fabulous" while Hilary Fowles, of
Knighton, said: "Excellent! Informative and inspiring workshops
delivered by Linder Myers."
Tony Marriott, of Radbrook Green, added: "It was done well and
clearly presented. A useful choice of topics and I appreciated the
informal approach with plenty of opportunities for question and
answer and discussions."
Mr Masters added: "As the consortium continues to grow rapidly
we will be looking to hold similar days around the country."
