Derbyshire-based carbon composites manufacturer Atlas Composites
has appointed David Priestley as their new Procurement Manager this
month. Already it seems he has hit the ground running with
identifying the improvements needed to bring their supply chain
process up to the exceptionally high level Atlas work to on
engineering, quality and service.
A Material Planning professional, Priestley previously worked
for Markem-Imaje, a Global Manufacturer of Product Identification
and Traceability Solutions until the recent move of their supply
chain processes to Switzerland last month. Key responsibilities
that he excels at include inventory reduction, delivery performance
improvement and procurement relationships all over Europe. Using
methods such as Continuous Improvement Methodology, Lean
manufacturing techniques and KPI goal implementation and
achievements.
Shaun Moloney Atlas Composites MD says, "With the fast pace this
industry moves at we needed a procurement professional focusing
solely on the efficiency of our supply chain procedures. This will
not only allow us to stay ahead of the game as leaders in component
technology development, but enable Atlas Composites to develop as a

Priestley says, "As a positive person, I saw my previous
company's move abroad as an opportunity to develop my skills

Derbyshire-based Atlas Composites are currently working towards
the SC21 accreditation and are the industry leaders in composites
manufacturing for applications in industries such as the Formula 1
and automotive industry, aerospace, defence, commercial and
communications industry sectors.
