Mansell staff working on a three-quarters of a million pound
project to extend and refurbish a primary school in Coventry laid
on a "taster tent" event to demonstrate building skills to pupils
from the school.
Mansell staff and apprentices led a series of demonstrations for
pupils of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School in Foleshill where
the company is building a new extension as well as making
alterations and improvements to existing buildings. Demonstrations
included site safety, plumbing, tiling, carpentry, bricklaying and
carpeting before the pupils were allowed to have a go themselves
under the watchful eyes of staff and Ivor Goodsite, the Considerate
Constructors Scheme mascot.
The Education team of Mansell's Stourbridge-based Western region
is also demolishing part of the existing school buildings and
landscaping the school grounds.
The work is being carried out for the Diocesan Schools
Commission.
