TBSL will be welcoming delegates from across the East Midlands
to their annual DocuWare User Group Meeting on 9th November at the
EPIC Centre in Lincolnshire to talk about office efficiency.
The Lincoln based firm is one of only 30 approved DocuWare
partners in Europe and has installed the document management
software in a wide range of industries throughout the region. These
include distribution, manufacturing, construction, not-for-profit
organisations and medical practices helping them to become more
efficient, increase productivity and save thousands of pounds as a
result.
"Many businesses are drowning in paper and wasting valuable time
because of inefficient and inappropriate systems," explained Steve
Bilton, Sales Manager at TBSL.
"An average office worker spends 20% of their working life
filing or looking for documents which is often regarded as an
unavoidable occupational hazard. This could amount to over 50 days
of unproductive time however per staff member per year.
"With DocuWare any type of document, regardless of format or
source, can be scanned and stored in a central document pool - for
example paper records, letters, faxes, drawings, PC and other
electronic files including e-mail - all of these can be
easily indexed, stored and retrieved in seconds."
By integrating an electronic filing and document management
system into their existing IT infra-structure businesses can save
time, money and space as DocuWare can eliminate the need for paper
based files altogether.
As well as improving efficiency DocuWare can limit the impact of
a disaster such as a fire or flood by preventing
organisations, schools, colleges and universities from losing
important information and suffering major disruption.
"An unexpected incident such as a fire or a flood can wreak
havoc on any organisation and make it difficult if not impossible
to continue with day to day activities," explained Steve.
"Using the Internet, the central document pool is available
around the clock to any authorised user, no matter where they are
located in the world. This means if you have remote workers or you
simply can't access your premises for any reason, you can still
access your data."
Guest speakers at the User Group Meeting include Jan Picht,
Sales Director at DocuWare UK, who will inform TBSL's existing and
potential customers about the latest developments to the
software.
Meanwhile Robert Gristock, Business Development Manager at
Kodak, will talk about their state-of-the-art document scanning
equipment and Jenny Felton from Formscan will be explaining how
their data capture systems can help companies dramatically reduce
the costs and inefficiencies of manual data entry through the
automatic reading of data from all types of forms, letters and
invoices.
