Irish food producer, Co. Monaghan based Kozy Shack, is set to expand export of its dessert and snack range into UK retailers starting this autumn, an export increase of 50% utilising multi temperature supply chain and logistics specialist Oakland International's established routes to market.

Oakland has worked with Kozy Shack since 2006, stockholding the producer's rice based products before onward distribution to retail distribution centres in the UK.

Oakland International UK Operations Director Paul Ziolek, stated: "Our UK and Ireland hubs operate seven days a week and are currently moving in excess of 6,000 pallets per week, we are well placed to support export expansion of Kozy Shack's existing product ranges. Oakland's close retailer relationship allows for closer links between retailers and Kozy Shack resulting in reduced wastage, improved service levels, no minimum order issues and no requirement for Kozy Shack to provide weekend stock control and administration cover for the account."

Oakland's ability to take delivery of bulk loads greatly reduces weekly deliveries, linked with their relative fixed case rate and administrative savings has helped to significantly reduce Kozy Shack's overheads. An established consolidation and distribution operator acknowledged for offering effective crossdocking and storage to an increasing number of Irish retailers, Oakland provides a highly reactive, flexible and proactive supply chain service offer.
