A Telford transportation company has helped a local manufacturer
take its first step overseas.
Global Freight Services, on Halesfield, was asked to help
domestic boiler manufacturer, Mistral Boilers, ship their first
export container.
Nicole Howarth, from Global Freight, said: "Mistral had an
enquiry from New Zealand from a company who were interested in
purchasing their entire range to sell from their showroom.
"We worked with Mistral to price up the initial transportation
and insurance, and suggested appropriate packing materials and the
right documentation to ensure the 20ft container load complied with
New Zealand's tough regulations.
"Once the boilers had been completed, we ordered the container
which was then loaded on site and successfully shipped to Lyttleton
Port for onward delivery to its final destination.
"We were delighted to work with Mistral to ensure their products
were safely delivered to the other side of the world and look
forward to working with them again in the future."
Graham Wright, from Mistral Boilers, said: "Global Freight took
the pain and fear out of exporting our first container.
"The client has been so pleased with the product and overall
service that they are now requesting prices for another full
container load.
"After such a successful collaboration on our first overseas
project, we would not hesitate to work with Global Freight again
and are now looking to expand our export portfolio even
further."
