Local businesses have the opportunity to receive expert advice about Sales and Marketing at a series of FREE premier events being organised by Business Link.

Stephen Smith, Chief Executive of EMB Ltd, the organisation responsible for delivering local access to the Business Link service says, "In an uncertain economy, small and medium sized businesses need greater assistance to provide them with the tools and techniques that will help them to compete in a tough market.  These events will provide valuable information on how to promote your business, increase sales and remain competitive."

Four, FREE one day events will be held at separate locations across the East Midlands between November 2010 and February 2011 under the umbrella title of Fast Track to Successful Sales & Marketing.

Each event will follow the same format and be opened by marketing expert Geoff Ramm. Geoff is renowned for enthusing and inspiring small business entrepreneurs to think creatively to make them stand out from the competition. He will provide low cost practical tips that businesses can implement with immediate effect.

During the day, attendees will be able to take part in workshops covering selling overseas, creative marketing ideas, making the most of the media and closing the sale.

Stephen Smith concludes, "The road shows are free of charge and will enable local business people to pick up tips from a range of marketing experts.

Attendees will also be able to talk to advisers about specific initiatives such as training through Leaders First, export help through UK Trade & Investment and the range of Business Link services.
