Development properties and land up for auction

An auction selling a range of residential development opportunities and parcels of agricultural and amenity land will soon be taking place at the Three Swans Hotel in Market Harborough.

The auction is being held by Fisher German and includes a number of properties located on the Estate of Brooksby Melton College. One of the star attractions is The Old Rectory, which is a superb 4 bedroom property sitting under a slate roof. The house sits in a large plot with mature gardens and extensive off road parking with a guide price of £325,000. Following a programme of refurbishment it would make a fantastic family home.

In addition to this, there are another two properties at Brooksby which again provide superb development potential. This includes Hall Farmhouse, which would make a very desirable home with far reaching views over the open countryside. Other properties in the sale include a detached house in Brixworth and building plot for three apartments in Rothwell, Northamptonshire.

The land for auction comprises three superb blocks of permanent pasture. Two in Great Easton sit just across the bridleway from one another. They comprise 9.96 and 22.16 acres with respective guide prices of £50,000 and £100,000. Land at Cottingham of 10.29 acres has a guide price of £50,000.

William Young of Fisher German comments, "We have held achieved very good results in the past. Our last few auctions have a combined success rate of 83%.

"There is still a strong development market out there and I believe that is what is driving the auctions and making them so successful. Early indications show that there is a lot of interest in the properties and land so I expect to see a strong turnout".
