Bonfire night dinner and fireworks display in Shropshire

People in Shropshire can make a night of it this November 7 and celebrate Bonfire night with a special dinner and a fireworks display.

Organisers of the Shropshire County Show will be marking Bonfire night with a celebration starting at 2.30pm at the Berwick Road showground in Shrewsbury.

Hundreds of people are set to gather together for the event and a three-course dinner is available in the GKN Pavilion at 4pm. A bonfire and fireworks display will take place at 6.15pm.

The night will also include a funfair, hot food and drinks for those not dining in the restaurant, face painting, a licensed bar and much more.

Mary Hopkins, general manager, said: "A three-course dinner will be available in the pavilion for all those who wish to make November 7 a special night

"There will be entertainment in the main ring, a fun fair and much more. It promises to be a really great night for everyone."

Entry for adults is £4, £2 for children or £15 per car for a maximum of five people. Children under five can go free.

A river taxi will also be on hand to transport people from Victoria Quay to the showground from 5pm.

The dinner menu is £22 per head, to include entry and car parking, and includes a choice of three starters, four main meals and a dessert of traditional apple crumble with custard or cream.

To book a table on the night contact The Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society Ltd at the Agricultural Showground in Berwick Road, Shrewsbury, on (01743) 289831 or email enquiries@shropshirecountyshow.com
