Nottingham-based independent insurance brokers Brown Bevan has
opened a new shop-front office in Arnold and will be looking to
recruit new staff to take on the anticipated increase in
workload.
The new building replaces the company's previous offices in
Arnold and Wollaton and is set over two floors, bringing together
the personal and commercial insurance departments under one
roof.
Paul Chillman, partner at Brown Bevan, commented: "Although
there is an increasing number of price comparison websites, many
people are returning to the personal approach, favouring an
individual over a website, particularly as internet prices are
rising. Our personally-tailored provision is valued highly by our
customers and our new offices will enable us to continue to provide
them with the best possible service."
In order to open the combined new office, it was necessary to
merge the two existing companies in Arnold and Wollaton, which were
operating under the name Brown Bevan but as a sole trader and
partnership. The new expanded office now provides the firm with
more buying power for the future enabling it to expand; increasing
turnover and creating jobs.
Brown Bevan enlisted the help of Nottingham business advisors
UHY Hacker Young to carry out the financial planning and put
together a new partnership agreement and business plan. Phil
Oliver, partner at UHY Hacker Young, commented: "It has been an
absolute pleasure working with Brown Bevan. It's refreshing to see
a company that has maintained its respected position in the
industry through the recession and is now coming out of it
strongly."
UHY Hacker Young is an ambitious and growing Top 20 Group of UK
chartered accountants. It provides full service support to UK and

Paul added: "I am delighted that, with the invaluable help of
UHY, we have been able to open our new offices in Arnold. Phil and
the team really took the pressure off and it wouldn't have been
possible without them."
