Affinity Crew, provider of intelligent crewing solutions for the
UK events industry, has expanded its operation with a new office
based in Leicester to cover the Midlands region.
The new office will be headed up by Darryl Jones and Dan
Hatjiosif and will enable a faster response to local enquiries
along with being used as a base for local crew briefings and
training. Affinity Crew has crewed at a number of high
profile events and venues in the region over the last month,
including Leicester Tigers' Welford Road stadium, the RICOH Arena,
Hyatt Hotel, Hilton Metropole and Birmingham Town Symphony
Hall.
Affinity Crew employs currently employs around 100 freelancers
in the South East. This valuable crew work in the events industry
that was estimated this week to be worth £36bn to the UK as
part of Britain for Events Week. The East Midlands Development
agency estimates over 33,000 are employed in the 'creative
industries' in the region. Affinity Crew did 6,000 hrs of work at
the Frieze Art Fair which ended last week.
