Businesses are to attend an event organised by Lichfield and
Tamworth Chamber which will offer procurement opportunities with
the Ministry of Defence.
The business luncheon on September 30 at The Old School House
Restaurant in Weeford, Lichfield, is to hear from Lieutenant
Colonel Ian Harper, Ministry of Defence Medical Services about the
former Whittington Barracks change of use to new headquarters for
his division.
Sponsored by Tamworth-based Past Limited, the lunch will be
preceded by the Chamber's Annual General Meeting and will also
provide an opportunity for businesses to network.
Marilyn Castree, Divisional Director, said: "We are very excited
we have been able to put this event together and are keen to
encourage as many business people as possible to attend. There are
only limited places available and therefore we would encourage
people to book as soon as possible."
Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber President Neil Lancaster, of
Adams Moore Accountants, will outline the major activities that
have taken place over the last twelve months. He said: "Our merger
with Birmingham Chamber Group has provided our members with major
benefits and huge opportunities as part of the third largest
Chamber in the U.K. - but with the emphasise of still working and
supporting local businesses within the area."
