A Leamington Spa-based business woman has taken a top position
at one of the UK's leading trade associations.
Trudi Dumcombe, director of Infinity Clothing, has been
appointed as treasurer of PROMOTA, the leading, independent trade
association for the promotional products industry.
Trudi, aged 39 from Whitnash, will also be concentrating her
efforts on developing the association's marketing
programme.
A new member to the board, Trudi has been working in the
promotional products industry for the past 14 years. Currently she
is sales director for Infinity Clothing which manufactures bespoke
sports and corporate clothing.
Trudi said: "I have worked in the promotional products sector
for many years and I absolutely love it. I have always been in
marketing and strategic roles wherever I have worked and I am sure
that will help me within my new position on the PROMOTA
board.
"As well as being treasurer for the association I will also be
advising on the rest of our marketing programme and how we can
develop these areas."
PROMOTA is the leading, independent trade association
representing manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of
promotional products. The association has been established for more
than 50 years and has some 700 members.
Trudi added: "Like many industries ours took a significant hit
during the recession, but now is the time to be positive and
continue to work together. Our members have a great many strengths
and I want to see them working more collectively so they can grow
their businesses."
David Webster, chairman of PROMOTA, said: "I am delighted to
welcome Trudi to the board. I know that she is going to be a great
advocate for PROMOTA as she has such an enthusiasm for our industry
which is a real asset to us as we move the association
forward."
