The UK's leading supplier of composite and bespoke communication
cables and connectors has seen its sales to the security industry
more than double in the past six months thanks to the addition of a
new line of cables.
Nottingham-based Webro has so far this year introduced 20 new
security-related cables to its product portfolio resulting sales of
more than 800km per month with the UK's top security companies. The
new series includes high specification composite, coaxial, data and
telecom communications cables which are being used in alarm
systems, door entry and CCTV systems.
Roger Webster, managing director at Webro, commented: "We've
made a significant investment in our security product offering this
year and it's already paying real dividends for us.
"We are one of the few Section 12-approved companies which can
supply cable to help improve security and communication on the
London Underground network, plus we've also supplied fibre optic
cabling to the new Olympic stadium for the 2012 Games. We're hoping
these contracts will lead to more work in the sector and help us
become the go-to company for security communication cables."
The new series of security cables has now been added to Webro's
existing extensive range of fibre and coaxial communications cables
which cover a number of industries including digital TV and
satellite, data, automotive, telecom and caravans.
Roger added: "We are constantly looking to review and enhance
our range of security industry cables alongside improving our
testing measures to ensure a high quality of product."
Webro is a leading supplier of composite and bespoke
communication cables and connectors. It was established in 1980 and
moved to its current site at Meadow Brooks Business Park in Long
Eaton in 2001.
