A Telford-based business safety organisation has announced
formal accreditation by NEBOSH (the National Examining Board for
Occupational Safety & Health), which has seen it launch a brand
new course for local people.
Macbrac Business Safety, a provider of safety services for small
and medium enterprises across the county, has been officially
recognised by the association as a certified provider of its Fire
Safety & Risk Management qualification, and is launching its
first course on September 21st.
The course is aimed at personnel with specific responsibilities
for fire safety within their workplace, and helps to provide them
with the skills required to carry out fire assessment risks, as
well as helping them to identify potential protective and
preventative measures.
Charles Gunter, safety advisor and proprietor of Macbrac,
commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have been endorsed by
NEBOSH as an official provider of this certificate, and are very
much looking forward to welcoming local people onto the course in
September.
"As one of only two accredited providers of this course in
Shropshire, our certification is fantastic news for those within
the county who are looking to attain this qualification at a centre
close to home."
The course will be held in Telford and will run over a period of
12 evenings. It forms an essential part of a management
programme for those across the region that need to ensure their
organisation sufficiently meets fire safety regulations, as well as
those individuals looking to move into fire safety advisory roles.
