Shropshire business Simmonsigns, Traffic Engineers, is
celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and was looking for a
memento to mark such an important milestone.
The family-owned company, based on Stafford Park in Telford,
manufactures illuminated and reflective traffic bollards,
illuminated signs, school patrol warning signals, subway lighting
and passively safe street furniture.
Bev Moss, Executive Assistant to Simmonsigns Managing Director,
said: "Our principal customers include many local authorities and
the Highway Agencies, so we wanted to come up with a suitably
appropriate gift to give out, to mark this impressive landmark in
our company history.
"We commissioned an oversized and very practical mug with an
extra-large grip and capacity of half a pint.
"Displaying our new 25th anniversary logo, local promotional
marketing company Promofix has produced over 1,200 mugs which we
have given out to customers.
"We have also given one to every member of our staff as a small
gesture of gratitude for their efforts, which have clearly
contributed to the company's continued success and expansion over
the past quarter of a century."
Chamber member Kathryn Holloway of Promofix added: "Owing to
their size and chunky handles, the mugs are a really 'fun' and
unusual item and I am sure that Simmonsigns will get a lot of
positive feedback from the recipients.
"We provide a very wide range of individual and quirky
promotional items, but these large mugs must surely be one of the
most practical and unique ideas to get the company name literally
in the customer's face!"
