One of Nottingham's leading recruitment specialists, Yvonne
Palmer, is back on the city's recruitment circuit, having joined
the Board of the recruitment arm of Positive Outcomes, the national
recruitment and training organisation, which has offices across the
UK.
Yvonne will work alongside the company's National Recruitment
Manager Jane Roper and will be based at Positive Outcomes
Recruitment head office in Nottingham city centre. She has
specialised in recruitment for forty years and is best known in
Nottingham for her business Yvonne Palmer Associates, which she
sold in 2008.
Positive Outcomes is in the Top 10 of independent providers of
government-funded training in the UK and has a combined turnover of
£8million for the recruitment and training operations.
In the new role at Positive Outcomes, Yvonne rejoins her former
business partner Chris Longmate, MD of the Positive Outcomes Group
of companies.
"Positive Outcomes is well-known and established as a national
training provider and is focussed on a sustained growth strategy
for both its training and recruitment activities across the UK,"
comments Chris Longmate. "Both core activities of the Group
naturally complement each other both in terms of our own skill base
but also the provision of complementary services to our extensive
client portfolio that includes some heavyweight organisations from
both the public and private sector.
"Positive Outcomes Recruitment has had a significant impact on
the latest phase in the company's growth strategy, and Yvonne has
been brought-in to assist in maintaining this development and
expansion from our head office at the heart of the
country.
"To have tempted Yvonne to take up the key role of Associate
Director on the Board of the recruitment arm is excellent for the
company for many commercial reasons," he adds. "She is specifically
tasked with fulfilling our ambitious plans for growth, which
include growing revenue, opening new branches in key locations
including Derbyshire and Sheffield, and adding-to our dedicated
recruitment team."
Yvonne says: "Recruitment is in my blood and I'm delighted to be
back in the industry, particularly as the centre for Positive
Outcomes recruitment operations is in Nottingham, a great city
which I am very passionate about and have great affection for.
Chris and I have known and worked together for many years and we
make a great team.
"Doubtless, the current climate continues to be a challenge for
employers and businesses, but whilst there are three million
currently out of work, there's still 28 million employed. The
market is slower but by understanding our clients' business, their
personnel requirements and utilising our own market knowledge and
contacts, Positive Outcomes delivers outstanding value for money
for clients by finding the candidates they need."
Chris adds: "The centre of operations for the Recruitment
company will remain in Nottingham, and through Yvonne's extensive
experience and contacts, we know she is the best person for this
key stage in the company's strategy. Yvonne has the potential to
assist in delivering our business model for rapid, sustainable
growth, to expand the national network of recruitment offices,
which already is established in the region, as well as in
Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London, Reading and Edinburgh.
Indeed, her value to the business has already been proven, with
revenue for the recruitment company increasing by 40 percent within
two weeks of Yvonne joining the team."
