zebras.
Talbots Solicitors celebrated the launch of its new corporate
website with a trip to the West Midlands Safari Park in
Worcestershire to meet a zebra it has sponsored and to celebrate
the naming of it by one of Talbots' clients.
Midlands-based Talbots redesigned its new website -
www.talbotslaw.co.uk - choosing a zebra as an integral part of its
rebranding. Staff and clients were invited to suggest names
for the zebra and, after some healthy competition, Stuart Andrews
of Selbourne Homes Limited was declared the winner when he came up
with the name 'Ziggy'. Part of Stuart's prize was a bottle of
bubbly and a trip to the Safari Park to meet up with Ziggy.
"I have never been so close to wild animals and this is not only
great fun but rather different. In a way, it sums up how Talbots
operates so it couldn't be more fitting" said Stuart. "I wish
Talbots every success with their new website, it is memorable and I
am sure it will stand out from the sites of other law firms".
Talbots' Senior Partner, Martyn Morgan, commented "We like to
think that Talbots offers its clients a service that is different.
Somehow, selecting a zebra summed us up. It is an
animal unlike no other; its stripes are unique to that animal; it
is a social animal and one that has never been tamed! Talbots
treats each of its clients as unique, we run very successful social
events, such as Stourbridge Breakfast Club and, as for never being
tamed, well, that is about us not conforming to what is expected of
a law firm - stuffy and dull".
We could have adopted an eagle as our mascot, in line with the
popular term, Legal Eagle, or even a rhino - as solicitors are
often accused of being like rhinos, thick skinned, horny and
charging a lot - but we felt that Ziggy is much more in keeping
with our culture.
