A local soft furnishings company is celebrating its fifth birthday in style after securing a number of new contracts across Shropshire and the border counties and enjoying one of its best trading years in its history.

The Curtain Dresser is the brainchild of Jane Edmunds and was launched back in 2005 to offer window dressings and soft furnishings to customers in the comfort of their own homes. Based on Jane's passion for fabrics and interior design, the company produces bespoke made-to-measure curtains and window dressings, and has grown rapidly over the past few years with Jane's purple van now a familiar sight across the county.

"I spent over 20 years working with renowned Shrewsbury-based retailer, Alan Ward, and have been able to bring the interior design and fabric skills I learnt there to my customers" Jane explained.
