East Midlands companies encouraged to go online to employ direct

EMB Ltd, the organisation responsible for delivering the Business Link service across the East Midlands, is reminding local businesses about a FREE online service to help advertise available vacancies.

Employer Direct online is a free service being made available through Business Link in association with Jobcentre Plus, which allows you to notify available positions online without having to speak to an adviser.

Stephen Smith, Chief Executive of EMB Ltd, says, "We aim to help the regions' businesses grow and develop so that they are well placed to survive and thrive in the long term.  Recruiting and training the right people is at the heart of any business and we can provide a range of help and support in this area."

"Our Information Team has access to a range of information and can also help companies to identify training needs and possible funding initiatives that can help eligible companies with staff development."

Business Link can assist employers looking to develop their business by helping them to identify and access information, support and advice to enable them to grow and prosper.

The organisation's team of advisers can provide information and support on a range of business issues from exploring new markets and IT issues through to recruitment and developing new products and services.

Key benefits of Employer Direct online for your business:

· easy to use - you can notify your jobs straight from your computer via the internet

· far-reaching - you can advertise your jobs on the UK's most visited recruitment website

· free to use

· gives you round-the-clock access

Whether you want to post jobs to Jobcentre Plus on a regular or occasional basis, becoming an Approved User will help you manage your jobs and give you greater control.

If you are an Approved User you can view, copy and amend most of the jobs you have notified to Jobcentre Plus over the previous 12 months.

If you decide not to become an Approved User, you can use the 'Notify a Job as an Unapproved User' option on the website to send details of your job to Jobcentre Plus. Each job is sent to an Employer Direct Adviser and checked prior to being displayed.

You can advertise a job online using the Employer Direct online service.
