Prospect Estates Ltd has acquired the freehold of Halesfield
Seven in Telford in a deal brokered by joint agents, DTZ, Bulleys
and Colliers International. The sale, worth £1.83m,
represents the largest industrial deal in the town this year and
will see the 15.63 acre site sub-divided to create a new industrial
estate known as Epic Park.
The site, formerly home to Plastic Omnium, currently comprises a
multi bay industrial complex which has been extended over recent
years to provide various workshop/warehouse areas and internal
office space.
Prospect Estates plan to refurbish and split the existing
building into eight self contained industrial/warehouse units and a
two-storey 10,350 sq ft office building which will be available to
buy or let. In addition, the site benefits from extensive car
parking and external storage yards.
John Sambrooks, Associate Director in DTZ's Industrial team,
commented: "This is a major investment for Telford. The site is
already an established industrial area within Telford and with easy
access to the M54 and national motorway network, it is anticipated
that the new complex at Epic Park will attract new and established
businesses and help create jobs for the local area."
Tim Whitaker at Prospect Estates, added: "We are delighted to
have secured the purchase of Halesfield Seven. The refurbishment of
the site has already commenced and, once complete, Epic Park will
be an exciting addition to Telford."
