A former Senior House Officer at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has been admitted as a Member of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England on the first anniversary of her joining a top team of dentists in one of the county's leading dental clinics.

Emily Wright BDS, who practices at the Dental Spa on Oxon Business Park, Shrewsbury, passed the examination held at the nationally acclaimed Royal College of Surgeons after two years of intensive study and three external audits. She was also runner-up in the Vocational Training (VT) Regional Audit Presentation.

A former student of Wrekin College, Emily joined the Dental Spa in July 2009 from the Maxillofacial Department at RSH. She studied Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, and Orthodontics and Paediatrics for five years at Bristol Dental School, during which time she was highly commended for her work in Oral Surgery at Bristol Dental Hospital and also won the GSK Bristol Dental Elective Prize. Her clinical experience as an Oral and Maxillofacial specialist has involved her in a wide range of both minor and major surgery.

Congratulating Emily on her success Thomas Norlin, Clinical Director of the Dental Spa, said: "Emily has considerably wide experience for such a young dentist and her recent achievement is a tribute to her hard work and keenness to expand her skills and knowledge in every area of dentistry."
