Shropshire's annual agricultural extravaganza will be held in
May 2011 - and is set to impress, organisers have revealed.
This year's inaugural Shropshire County Show was a huge success
and plans for next year's event are already well under way.
Thousands of people gathered together at the Berwick Road
showground in Shrewsbury for the two-day show in June when the sun
shone down on the entertainment, competitions, displays and
demonstrations.
And next year's event on May 14th and 15th is set to be bigger
and better with the added bonus of the poultry classes
returning.
Mary Hopkins, general manager, said: "The first Shropshire
County Show was an outstanding success and we are extremely excited
about what next May's event has in store.
"We are busy planning another action-packed two days with scores
of cattle, sheep, pig, horse and poultry entries, events in the
main ring and countryside arena and lots more besides."
The show attracts thousands of people of all ages from all over
the country to Shropshire. Visitors to the event spend the day
touring the grounds and displays of classic cars and agricultural
vehicles, the wonderful food hall, craft displays, non-stop
entertainment in the arenas and much, much more.
