Sutton in Ashfield's Abacus Lighting has reinforced its
commitment to support up and coming football talent by signing a
two season partnership agreement with the Evo-stik League.
Abacus, a world leader in sports lighting, has become the
League's official lighting partner, giving its clubs, which include
Hucknall Town, Rainworth Miners' Welfare, Retford United and
Worksop Town, the benefit of over 50 years of knowledge and
experience.
Alan Allcock, League Operations Manager at the Evo-Stik League,
said: "We are delighted to have Abacus on board and I'm sure
our clubs will benefit greatly.
We are regulated by the Football Association and, to comply with
their requirements on floodlighting levels, our clubs have to keep
their floodlights in tip top condition to ensure minimum levels are
maintained. Abacus's commitment means that every club in the
league will benefit from a free, no obligation lighting review -
great news for the clubs!"
If a club decides to upgrade its floodlighting with Abacus, it
will also benefit from the company's unrivalled knowledge in issues
such as gaining planning consents, and choosing the most
appropriate lighting design for the club's needs.
Abacus's UK Sales Director, Paul Wilson, who is a major football
fan himself, said: "Through this sponsorship we will keep close,
personal links with the clubs. There is a great atmosphere between
the teams and we are proud to be part of Great British football.
Six of the League's clubs have arranged their free lighting
review with us and we hope more will follow soon."
Abacus already has a strong track record in supporting the
football community at different levels. The company sponsored
the Central Midlands Football League for four years and, in that
time, helped put the League on a much sounder financial footing -
extremely beneficial to clubs struggling to survive at this
level.
