Leicester's Belmont Hotel in De Montfort Street has been named
as one of three finalists in the large hotel category (over 35
bedrooms) in the East Midlands Tourism Enjoy England Excellence
Awards 2010.
The only finalist in Leicestershire in this category, The
Belmont Hotel has been independently owned for 76 years by the
Bowie family. The Belmont Hotel offers 75 bedrooms, many
overlooking the picturesque New Walk, down which guests can stroll
to the city centre. It's in an ideal location, a few minutes walk
from the railway station and with ample free car parking for
residents.
Operations Manager James Bowie said: "The team and I are
delighted to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award, over
the last couple of years we have taken the opportunity to upgrade
many of our facilities, fine-tune our marketing efforts, launch a
new website and further increase our staff training, particularly
with regard to customer service excellence."
Organisers East Midlands Tourism will be announcing the award
winners in October this year.
