Bank
Champagne corks were popping at Yorkshire Bank in Nottingham as
four colleagues celebrated reaching a combined 90 years with the
company.
Senior Business Partner Carl Ashley and Associate to the
Managing Partner Lisa Dickinson are both celebrating 25 years with
the bank, while asset finance partner Steve Fox and associate Val
Wilson have clocked up 20 years service.
Having enrolled on the bank's graduate training scheme at the
age of 21, Carl has enjoyed time at various branches across the
country and heads up the business development team at Yorkshire
Bank's Nottingham Financial Solutions Centre (FSC).
The 46-year-old joined the team based in Castle Meadow Road in
2002 having previously headed up the bank's operations in Derby and
was named Yorkshire Bank Business Partner of the Year in
2003.
He said: "It is quite scary to think it was 25 years ago I
started working for the bank and during this time I've been
fortunate enough to work alongside and come into contact with some
really special people.
"Winning the Business Partner of the Year award remains one of
the higlights of my career which I have to say has been hugely
enjoyable."
Lisa joined the company at the age of 16 and said taking a lead
role organising charity events and providing close support to the
bank's management teams in Nottingham and Leicester is the most
enjoyable parts of her job.
She said: "I joined the bank as an office junior straight from
school and the last 25 years have really flown by.
"Yorkshire Bank has been a huge part of my life and they have
really looked after me. I couldn't even imagine working for anyone
else now."
Steve, of Chellaston in Derby, has worked for the bank helping
develop new business across the East Midlands over the last 20
years and said developing long standing relationships with
businesss across the region and helping them to grow are among the
most satisfying aspects of his job.
Val, of Oakwood in Derby, also began life at the bank in 1990 as
a cashier in the Derby branch and has gone on to enjoy spells
working in Burton and Ilkeston as a finanical advisor and mobile
mortgage advisor, before moving to the FSC as a specialist
associate in 2005.
"It is quite special for the four of us in the same office to be
reaching significant milestones and I'm sure Steve, Carl and Lisa
are looking forward to working for the bank for many years to come
just as much as I am," she said.
