Nottingham law firm Berryman has confirmed Hilary Campion is the new head of its employment team.

A highly regarded and experienced specialist employment lawyer, Hilary was a partner and head of the employment department at Eversheds in Nottingham for more than 23 years, where he worked with corporate clients in diverse industry sectors on a local, regional, national and international level.

He joins Berryman after two years as Director of Employment Law at Nottingham firm Richard Nelson, where he has been pivotal in developing its niche employment practice.

Berryman's Chairman, Richard Brackenbury comments: "Hilary is a well known and respected figure amongst the professional services community across Nottingham and the East Midlands, and we consider it a real coup that he has chosen to join Berryman. His legal excellence, employment law expertise and knowledge of the Nottingham and regional business community will add unrivalled experience to our employment team, its corporate clients and the firm as a whole."

"Berryman is a respected regional law practice," comments Hilary. "I have worked alongside senior lawyers in its business services team and know first-hand the values and legal expertise of the firm, which have served to reinforce Berryman's reputation for legal excellence and quality client service."

Hilary replaces Ginny Hallam as Berryman's head of employment. Richard Brackenbury adds: "Ginny has been with the firm for more than ten years. She joined as a trainee in 2000, was promoted to associate in 2005 and became partner and team head in 2007. We recognise the time is now right for her to move onto pastures new to experience a new firm and we wish her well."

Berryman is a Midlands' law firm based in Nottingham, which provides an extensive portfolio of legal services within four key areas: Business Services, Property & Construction, Insurance Services and Private Client. It employs over 130 people and has 18 partners. For more information, T: 0845 310 7200, or visit www.berryman.co.uk
