UK Trade & Investment is inviting companies from across the
East Midlands to the world's largest and most international
aerospace event which is taking place from Monday 19 July to Sunday
25 July.
UKTI will have a major presence at Farnborough Air Show, which
is held biennially and attracts global civil and military aerospace
suppliers and their customers and facilitates orders worth billions
of pounds.
Through a programme of international networking events and
meetings, UKTI will facilitate access for UK aerospace companies to
key business opportunities and market information across many
markets including China, India, Russia and South Korea.
Peter Stevenson, Aerospace Sector Specialist for UKTI in the
East Midlands believes there are real opportunities for SMEs
throughout the region.
"Commercial officers from key aerospace markets around the world
will be attending and making themselves available for one to one
meetings. Their knowledge is invaluable to help identify business
opportunities or help businesses get in front of the right person
in the right company.
"As with any major exhibition, the key to Farnborough is
planning and getting those key appointments in order for businesses
to maximise their investment in the show."
In addition, UKTI will be holding a number of highly focussed
events throughout the week on its stand B12 in Hall 1 all designed
to give businesses from the East Midlands a market picture of
opportunities.
Peter Stevenson will be at Farnborough throughout Monday to
Thursday and will be happy to meet any local companies to discuss
global aspirations and make introductions with incoming delegates
particularly from China, India, Russia and South Korea.
