On the back of its success at the 2009 Business Awards Derbyshire, a Derby property auctioneer defied the economic climate and launched a new estate agency division. Fast-forward twelve months and despite a continuing slow-down, Graham Penny Estates has enjoyed considerable success and is now expanding its team.

In Spring 2009, Graham Penny Auctions launched its new estates division following an increasing number of enquiries from private and commercial clients looking to place properties for sale by auction and private treaty with a single company.

The experienced Robert Stone was brought in to manage the new estates division alongside Graham, allowing him to focus on maintaining the success of the company's auction operation.

Despite the obvious challenges that the business has had to face in its first year, Graham Penny Estates has gone from strength to strength and has now expanded its team with the appointment of one of the most recognisable names in the local residential property sector.

Annette Williams joins the company after more than 10 years at some of the top Derby estate agents. And within days of joining the company, Annette proved she was more than worthy of the award-winning team by selling a house within 4 days of it coming to the market and then completing on the sale within just seven days!

Commenting on the company's success to date, Graham Penny said:

"Our estates division has enabled us to fulfil demand from customers wishing to place properties with us for sale by private treaty. It gives sellers the opportunity to exploit our vast market intelligence and high profile marketing to secure the best possible prices for their properties.

"Annette has lived and worked in the area all her life and has extensive experience of the local housing market. Her local knowledge and expertise will prove invaluable to the company as we continue our expansion progamme," added Graham.

Graham Penny Auctions and Estates acts for both private individuals and institutions selling a wide range of interests, from investment properties and vacant houses to building plots, commercial investment properties and others.
