One of the Midlands premier radio stations is on the road in
style after a deal with Staffordshire car dealership Knights
BMW.
Orion Media has taken delivery of 25 BMW 1 Series and two MINIs
from Knights BMW so far this year, in a deal worth more than a half
million pounds.
The BMWs will be used by the sales team for Orion's five
stations, BRMB, Wyvern, Mercia, Beacon, and Heart 106 FM,
while the branded MINIs will be used by Heart 106 FM's
promotional team, the Heart Angels.
Regional managing director within Orion, Bob Norman said the
choice of the BMW 1 Series for the sales team had been a
straightforward one.
"We were looking for a car which is eco friendly and cost
effective, while retaining a high brand profile which reflected the
Orion Media values," he said.
"The BMW 1 Series was a perfect choice as it was value for money
but also provides a strong motivation for staff, while the branded
MINIs were just the right fun and family image we wanted to portray
for our promotional team."
The cars were purchased centrally using the BMW rebate scheme
but Orion could choose the dealership they wanted to work with to
deliver the vehicles.
"Knights BMW was an obvious choice for us as they advertise with
Orion Media and we want to work in partnership with our clients,
and the team also offered great customer service," said Bob.
"We worked closely with Knights BMW to agree the car
specifications and delivery dates to ensure that we got the right
cars at the right time and they have delivered every time."
Knights BMW local business development manager Mark Clews said
the deal with Orion Media reflected the calibre of deals the
corporate division of the dealership was making.
"It's a real feather in our hat that Orion chose to work with
us, especially as they had the choice of all the BMW dealerships in
the UK," he said.
"It's been a pleasure to work with them and to help them create
the right fleet to reflect their business, through supplying high
end, eco-friendly vehicles."
Knights BMW has dealerships in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford.
