Coventry University's Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship
(IAE) is hosting an informative event which is especially tailored
towards family-run businesses.
'Managing a sustainable entrepreneurial family business' is a
free two-hour session on Tuesday 22 June between 12 - 2pm in the
Start-up Café right in the heart of the University's
campus.
It is the first time the Coventry University has organised an
event of this kind and it is now on the look-out for interested
families to attend.
Dr. Gideon Maas, Co-director of the IAE has fifteen years
experience in this field and will be talking to the businesses
about the kind of support on offer.
Dr. Maas said: "Family-run businesses are in the heart of
the community and are influenced by the same fast-changing trends
as any other business. Keeping the family business going and trying
to expand and diversify in this difficult climate, presents a range
of challenges.
"This event aims to help identify alternative ways to deal with
difficult family business problems. It will provide access to a
network that can help them find innovative business solutions and
make them aware of the various support programmes currently being
provided by Coventry University."
Anyone interested in attending the two-hour session should book
a place by emailing: LDrummond@cad.coventry.ac.uk
