PTS Enfield takes home the winning cup at PTS' 2010 5-a-side
football challenge for the second year running held in Leicester,
from PTS MD Kelvin Stevens (far right).
An impressive 36 teams turned up on Sunday 23rd May
for the annual PTS 5-a-side football match, which raised a
staggering £2,900 for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The teams which consisted of PTS and BSS Group staff, customers
and suppliers came together at the Goals Soccer Centre in Leicester
to see PTS Enfield crowned the overall winners for the second year
running. Thanks to the number of teams entering and the
surprisingly sunny weather, PTS managed to raise its biggest sum
since the event began in 2005.
Kelvin Stevens, PTS Managing Director, said: "This is a really
fantastic event as it brings our staff, customers and suppliers
together to support and raise awareness of a serious illness which
is often misunderstood. We've managed to raise the biggest amount
ever achieved at this annual event with the help of the teams
entering and the organisation of other activities such as a raffle
and cake stall. I'd especially like to thank Clare Evans, a
Regional Stock Controller at PTS, for organising these events for
the last five years.
"This is just one of many fundraising activities that's taking
place across the company for Cystic Fibrosis Trust and kicks off
what's destined to be a very successful partnership."
PTS teamed up with the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in April 2010 to
help raise funds and awareness of the serious illness. Cystic
Fibrosis is one of the UK's most common, life-threatening,
inherited diseases which affects over 8,500 people in the country.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK's only national charity
dedicated to supporting the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis and also
funding the research into finding a cure. To find out more on the
