Nottingham based firm Webro launches new connectors at CAI show

One of the UK's leading suppliers of composite and bespoke communication cables and connectors, Nottingham-based Webro, has today unveiled a new improved range of moisture-proof self-install connectors for the WF100 cable, and a new easy fit compression connector for its WF165UG cable.

Launched today at the Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI) Trade Fair, the new moisture-proof self-install connectors - for the UK's best selling WF100 - are equipped with two EPDM O-rings to prevent moisture intrusion and can be used externally with the addition of a rubber boot to ensure complete waterproofing.

Also launched at the show is the brand new easy-on WF165UG direct-burial cable compression connector for the notoriously tough and hard-to-work with underground or direct burial cable.

Peter Edginton, deputy managing director of Webro, commented: "Our new range of moisture-proof WF100 self-install connectors will make it much simpler for installers to mount the connectors and get a great connection every time without the need for a crimp or compression tool.

"The new WF165UG connectors are really easy to work with. The benefits speak for themselves as the installers can now connect on in seconds with the easiest of push fits."

Webro took the decision to improve its range of direct-burial connectors following customer feedback and developments in its own cable and connectors testing programme.

Peter added: "We've had lots of interest in the new products on our stand at the CAI Show today. The addition of moisture-proofing to the connectors is a great advantage to UK installers for obvious reasons and the new easy-to-use functionality of the WF165UG connectors should make our sales team very busy over the coming weeks."

Webro has a 30-year legacy in the coaxial, telecom, security and fibre optic industries and currently supplies the UK's leading TV, satellite and broadband distributors. Its range of high quality cable and connector products are being used in all the digital regions, helping to ensure the switchover is a smooth process.
