Being a parent whilst juggling a business is a hard task, and
nobody knows this better than Rebekah Harriman. Rebekah, a mother
of two from Mountsorrel, Leicestershire runs R&R VA Services, a
virtual assistant business offering administration, PR, social
media and copywriting services amongst other things to the creative
industries.
The business was launched in 2009 as her eldest child approached
his first term at school and was set up to enable her to both have
new challenges in her career along side being able to be a school
gate mum. She has be nominated for The Mumpreneur Awards 2010, open
for mums in business from around the UK to enter.
The Mumpreneur Conference and Awards is an event which supports
and celebrates mums in business. The event will take place on
Saturday 18th September 2010 at The Heart of England Conference
Centre, Warwickshire, where the winners of 8 categories of The
Mumpreneur Awards will be announced. The nominations will be judged
by a panel of independent judges including Rachel Elnaugh,
Ex-Dragon on the BBC's Dragons Den and Jo Cameron of Women on their
Way, who took part in the BBC's Apprentice.
As well as being nominated in the 'Best Start Up' and 'Best
Business Support' categories, Rebekah is also in with a chance of
winning The Inspirational Business Mum Award, which will be awarded
to the mum who is an inspiration to all women in business, and
could walk away with a fantastic range of prizes.
Rebekah also runs Creative Boom Leicester, the regional hub of a
national online magazine for the creative industries and Mums the
Boss Leicestershire, a child friendly networking group for business
mums in Loughbrough.
Nominations for The Mumpreneur Awards are open until Friday 30th
