A Midlands based commercial kitchen and catering design firm is celebrating being named as an authorised distributor in the UK of a new eco-friendly food waste management system.

Procaterserv based in Worcestershire, have successfully partnered with Mechline Developments to distribute a brand new state of the art food waste decomposition system, Goh Bio.

The Stoke Prior kitchen and catering specialists have now added Goh Bio as part of Procaterserv's green portfolio to UK clients.

Lee Shelton, Sales Director at Procaterserv said "We are very proud to be a premier supplier of the Goh Bio product to the UK market".

"We are also delighted to be leading the market in eco friendly solutions which will position Procaterserv as one of the top suppliers of 'green' food waste management in the UK".

Goh Bio is a new environmentally safe and cost effective solution for managing commercial food waste; it is a high-speed, high-volume, food waste digester system, which provides total food waste degradation and disposal.

This works by adding natural microorganisms that digest food wastage into grey water, which is then disposed of via the in-built drainage system, and put back into the eco-system.

This 'eco-friendly' product rapidly decomposes up to half a ton of food waste to grey water in just 24hours.

The firm will be introducing its new green solution to commercial UK wide clients, in a bid to help customers eliminate food wastage at source, which is good for the environment. It is hoped this will help preserve valuable land fill space and reduce the dependency on fossil fuels and air pollution and greenhouse gasses.

Ian Blakeman Special Product Director of Mechline, who are developing the product range throughout Europe, said "We are very excited to be able to provide commercial catering outlets with this facility, which will enable them to save both money and reduce their carbon footprint.

"The Goh Bio machine also reduces food waste disposal costs, by eliminating the need for waste disposal units, de-watering systems and storage equipment, making it more cost effective than traditional food waste management."

Goh Bio has already been recognised for innovation in the industry, after winning the FCSI/CESA Sustainable Product award, and the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show's Grand Recognition for "New Green" Technology.
