The Nottingham-based www.inafishbowl.com project has given its
most telling clue yet as to how it expects to make profit from
its business reality website or 'webumentary' as it's now
being referred to. The site founded by Midlands entrepreneurs
Toby Reid and Andrew Springhall was launched last year
profiling the trials and tribulations of three fledgling
businesses, broadcast live on a website using blogs,
Twitter and live video feeds.
Andrew Springhall, co-founder has revealed that the website's
revenue model includes the addition of paid-for expert
commentator slots. Four local firms; solicitors firm Fraser
Brown, financial services firm RSM Tenon, Russell Scanlan
Insurance Brokers and Risk Managers and AVA PR have all signed
up in the last month. They will begin assisting the businesses
featured on the site this month, answering their questions and
providing relevant commentary as they go about their daily
business lives.
Andrew Springhall said, "Start-up businesses Rico Mexican
Kitchen, Sharabang and Head & Griffiths and are now
operating their businesses on the website, in full view of the
business community. It is well known that entrepreneurs
and business owners tend to search for support online. There
exists a fantastic opportunity for business experts to give
their guidance and opinions about the growth of these
three companies at www.inafishbowl.com.
"I'm delighted to announce that Fraser Brown, RSM Tenon, Russell
Scanlan and AVA PR have signed up as business experts on the
site and that they will start to benefit from the obvious
profile that this will bring as any guidance given will be
broadcast live on the site alongside the video, blogs and live
Twitter feeds. I'm confident that all four of these
organisations can provide commentary that is both timely
and relevant to the three live case studies and their
audience."
"It will be a useful additional PR tool for many organisations
across a wide spectrum of sectors and early indications show
that many more Midlands businesses are also keen to sign
up."
Gavin White, Corporate and Commercial Law Partner at Fraser
Brown, said, "We are always keen to be involved in anything
that supports entrepreneurs and www.inafishbowl.com is a
particularly new and innovative idea to champion the
entrepreneurial spirit and the future of commerce in the
region.
