Whilst many companies are facing the agonising decision of redundancies in this difficult economic climate one Lincoln-based company - Lighthouse Property Services - is continuing to expand.

As more and more people struggle to get on to the housing ladder, or find themselves unable to keep up with mortgage payments, the demand for rental property continues to rise in the city.

To meet these requirements Lighthouse Property Services has recently taken on two new members of staff and promoted one of their existing employees to a more challenging role.

Andrew Jones, a graduate in Advanced Computer Programming from the University of Lincoln, has been appointed to co-ordinate referencing for the company as well as providing additional administrative support.

Lighthouse has also employed Jamie Oldham - a Gas Safety registered plumber - to join LHP Maintenance.

LHP Maintenance is a branch of the business that ensures all properties within the Lighthouse portfolio are managed and serviced to the highest of standards.

Jamie, who is a highly experienced plumber and previously worked for Anglian Water, brings a wide set of skills to the role and will strengthen the team even further.

Finally Trevor Todd, who has been working for LHP Maintenance for 18 months, has moved over to Lighthouse Property Services to work as a Compliance and Facilities Officer.

Trevor will be responsible for managing fire and gas safety, co-ordinating student furniture and inventories, managing check-ins and check-outs and liaising with environmental health.

Tim Clark, Managing Director of Lighthouse Property Services, commented: "As our workload within the company increases we need additional skills and experience to cope with the added demands.

"I am delighted to welcome our two new members of staff to the company and I am confident they will be great assets to Lighthouse.

"In addition Trevor Todd has proved to be a valuable member of the team and we are delighted to welcome him into his new role within Lighthouse Property Services."

Lighthouse Services is rapidly gaining a reputation in Lincoln as one of the city's most dynamic and forward-thinking companies. It recently became the first lettings firm in the UK to offer tenants an exclusive wireless broadband service that can be used both at home and throughout Lincoln for free and all on the same network.
